What's a typical engagement length?
Full builds run 3–9 months. Embedded squads run 3–12. Retainers are rolling.
Do you do fixed-price?
Sometimes, when scope is genuinely well-defined and unlikely to move. Most engagements run on a fixed monthly rate with weekly check-ins, which keeps both sides honest.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. Ours or yours, before you share anything sensitive.
Who owns the IP?
You do, in full. We hand over everything on engagement close: code, designs, infrastructure, documentation.
What time zones do you cover?
We're based in Cape Town (SAST) but work happily with teams in any time zone. Clients have spanned Europe, North America, Africa, and beyond. Daily standups, weekly demos, and an async-first writing culture so the time difference doesn't bite.
How do you scope a new project?
It starts with a discovery call. We then send a questionnaire you can fill in whenever it suits. That gives us enough to put together an initial scope, including a memo, an architecture sketch, and a ballpark proposal. From there, take it or leave it. No obligation to continue.
